·        EVERYONE has a Digital Footprint

·        Digital Footprints are made up of direct and indirect technologies.

·        Direct- phones, laptops, point of sale, voice assistants (Siri, Alexa) and websites

·        Indirect- web ads, data partners and Device GPS data

·        Analog is created from what sites are visited, what is purchased, how many times something is clicked on- this information is sold to companies who use it to market services or products that one might be interested in based on their digital footprint

·        ALL BIG companies are collecting data

·        Cell Phone companies have the most data about us

·        Human Resource departments look at digital footprints (including Social Media) when thinking about hiring a candidate

·        SOOO IMPORTANT- Website Popup “cookies” agreements, should be read and at least location should be adjusted before accepting “cookies” on any website

·        Recommended to “Clean cookies” regularly

We stepped back into Old Sacramento in the 1800’s, for a night of light appetizers, chocolate tasting and a tour of the Hunnington & Hopkins Hardware Museum. We explored the history of the “Big Four” and the birthplace of the Central Pacific Railroad. What an incredible evening shared with many clients.

It was an enjoyable evening where the Lake Tahoe Wealth Management Team was joined by Dimensional Fund Advisors, Dr. Apollo Lupescu, for a discussion about current market conditions, Fed Actions, and Inflation.

Dr. Lupescu is vice president at Dimensional Fund Advisors, one of the premier investment managers in the world. In his role he is responsible for communicating Dimensional’s academic foundations and investment beliefs to financial professionals and individual investors across the world. He is considered the “secretary of explaining stuff”, because he excels at delivering thought provoking presentations in a clear and understandable way.

Immediately following the market discussion we were joined by Leigh Gardner-Gmeiner, from Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, to experience cheeses from their family-owned artisan farmstead cheesemaking facility. Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company is the family's way of carrying on their heritage, honoring the land they love so much, celebrating their passion for farm fresh food, and sharing it all with the people they consider their extended family – cheese lovers all across the country who can now experience the incredible flavors created from their small, family-run dairy farm. Questions were asked, knowledge was built, and the experience was something truly special!
